I also tried to create a track from the route and then created a 'direct route' from the selected track (as suggested by Garmin). I have the audio out of the device conveniently located and I've tested it so I know it will do what I need it to do but I've never actually used it while traveling. In basecamp no matter which profile I choose (even hiking), it always routes me along roads, even though I deselected roads, on the edit of the off road profile and left just unpaved (again this does nothing). I simply want a device to use to visually follow a pre-set route of my choosing. ![]() No comm system, no Bluetooth pairing, and for the last 3 years I have not one single time even used the audio out from my 595. See the devices owners manual for adding waypoints/shaping points. The device will ultimately use its own settings and algorithm to calculate the route. Make sure both BaseCamp and the device are using the same map version. I preface all the following with this- I'm a simple man. When transferring routes from BaseCamp to any compatible device, there can be routing discrepancies.
